About Us

Dagoretti Corner Rehabilitation Centre (DCRC) National Hidden Talents Academy is a registered community based organization (CBO) under Dagoretti Corner Child Care Program (D.C.C.C.P), started as a Christian oriented ministry by its founder director Pastor Enos Baxic Oumo in 1993 to offer free non-formal educational programme and home for orphans, destitute and street children. But due to HIV/AIDs pandemic in this area the number of orphans left loitering without shelter, clothing, food, medical care has risen to alarming prepositions and for this reason the centre needs to expand its physical infrastructure. Currently the centre is housed in a 1/2 acre plot which is not enough for its expansion activities. The centre is offering free non-formal educational support programme from std 1-8 and forms 1-4.

Abstract

This information and appeal basically examines the human children situation at Dagoretti Corner Rehabilitation Centre (DCRC) in the slum of Nairobi City Kenya-Africa. Dagoretti Corner Rehabilitation Centre (DCRC) offers free non-formal educational programme to orphans, destitute, ex-prisoners, street children and drug addicts. In addition it offers guidance and counseling to those in extremely social economic difficulties.

The centre could be able to achieve these objectives with assistance from friends, well-wishers, philanthropists, NGO's, Government and Volunteers. Because there is very limited assistance which is not forthcoming the centre is facing hard times due to lack of finance and therefore cannot meet its required obligations and objectives. Due to the country and the whole world economic hardships we cannot fulfill our mission therefore, we kindly request an immediate (urgent) appeal for help and assistance.
